Aastha is a community of individuals whose mission is to:
Foster wholesomeness and inner ecological wisdom in individuals, organizations and communities
Create spaces and processes for self-exploration, experiential learning, perspective building and development of facilitators, for the above.
Engage in action research, knowledge building and publication to facilitate understanding of human processes
Aastha Foundation is a not-for-profit Public Trust, established in 1995. Aastha’s membership includes Trustees, Institutional members and Professional members who are professionals in Management, Human Resources Development, Education and Applied Behavioural Science
Aastha’s Summer Event is an invitation to take a pause and review ones perspective and action in a complex and fast changing world.
The Summer Event provides a unique community learning space which is intensive yet refreshing, for individuals interested in human processes – corporate professionals or teachers, students or home-makers.
Great Discovery is ... not of worlds outside but seeing with new eyes.
Aastha’s Summer Institution is a learning space for a community of about 70 participants and a faculty team of over 15 members from all over the country.
The community setting offers opportunities for learning about human processes in a refreshing and enriching way. Participants would typically spend 2/3rds of a day in small groups and the rest of the time in whole community/ informal sessions.
The learning processes are:
Experiential – the process is of experiencing in the here and now as well as of sharing
experiences, reflection and review.
Wholistic – there is a constant beckoning to see the whole picture and what would be
meaningful for yourself and your work and family systems
(especially relationships with parents, spouse and children).
Wholesome – fostering the natural, fundamental need to be “yourself ”, i.e. dealing with internal
contradictions and facilitating integration of thought, feeling and action.
Growth oriented – you choose what you wish to focus on, work with your own insights and with
open frameworks that suit you.
Stimulating – through concept building from the group experience as well as of sharing of
cutting-edge perspectives on human processes and individual, group,
organizational and societal health.

(for HR professionals / managers with at least 5 years experience)
The industry is changing at a pace that defies logic and the need for the key players to respond has also seen drastic changes. Consequently the demand on the HR professionals in the last few years has been continuously increasing. The CEO/Top Management Team of every company depends on the HR Team / Department to ensure retention of talent, enhancing the vibrancy of the work place and ensuring that there is a learning atmosphere for continuous innovation.
Metaphor is an image or a symbol that indicates a set of likely behaviours in response to different kinds of stimuli. The key factors that seem to influence HR Metaphors are organization culture, history of in house HR function, individuals own perception of the role of HR, etc. Additionally one’s own personality and the manner in which one may hold the meaning for the HR role also influences these metaphors significantly.
This programme facilitates an open self-review and helps HR and other operating managers transcend their own personal propensities and perceptions, assume leadership and consequently influence the image that business groups hold of HR function..
Understanding the business inevitabilities and business strategies by partnering and collaborating with the business processes by creating experiential learning.
Understanding the manifestation of these metaphors in organisational setting and its impact on the business processes.
Understanding organisational culture and influencing the culture to maximise the potential of all the resources.
